What is sustainability?
Many people argue about what the actual definition of sustainability is. People all have their own opinion and if you asked a ferrety of people they would all probably have a different definition to one another.

“The ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level.‘sustainable economic growth’.”

“Avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance.”
The Advantages and Barriers of sustainability:
Advantages:
It would help the planet
Low waste disposal cost as you try and recycle or reuse
Improves functionality as well as quality of products
new and environmental impact is lower it would increase the market shares
better the environment for you employees
Closer relations with consumers
Barriers:
It is more costly than non sustainable
Can be risks as you are trying new materials and approaches
Peoples lack of understanding
The producer would need to find alternative ways to make money out of longer-life products
It is difficult integrating sustainability into a already well developed business
